Last night’s loss to the Rangers makes my case. Sure, it would have been nice to win, and sure, I can’t stand it when the Devils lose at the Garden….but you know what? The Devils still got a point! …and are still getting points in ten straight games! and even better — they are still in first place… ahead of…….the Rangers.
Take it back 10 years and I’d be kicking the walls this morning instead saying “oh well.” And while I’m sure every Ranger fan reading this is saying “ha, ha”….the victory would have tasted far better if it was all-or-nothing for the 2 points, and a tie for the division lead.
OT just isn’t what it used to be (but keep the 4 on 4 — that was a great enhancement).
